Judge Rules in Favor of American Board of Optometry
Summary judgment would dispose of all claims in AOS v. ABO lawsuit
ST. LOUIS, Mo., June 24, 2011 ― The U.S. District Court, Central District of California, has granted the American Board of Optometry’s (ABO) motion for summary judgment in the case of American Optometric Society, Inc. v. American Board of Optometry, Inc. If the Court denies the American Optometric Society’s motion for reconsideration, the Court is expected to enter a final Judgment in favor of the ABO and against the AOS on all claims and causes of action asserted in this lawsuit.
“The American Board of Optometry is pleased that the judge has granted our motion for summary judgment,” said ABO Chairman of the Board David A. Cockrell, O.D.
